1947 50 PESOS MEXICAN 1.2057 OZ. PURE GOLD COIN
This Authentic Mexican Gold Coin 50 Pesos contains 1.2057 Troy Oz (37.5 grams) of pure gold. It is 20% Larger than other gold coins, dated 1821 to 1947.
This is an absolutely beautiful gold coin, and would be a welcome addition to any coin collection. One side of this coin has an image of Winged Victory, with a Laurel Wreath in her right hand and broken chains in her left while the two famous Mexican Volcanoes, Popocatepetl and Iztaccihautl arise in the background.
The 1821 on the lower left commemorates the year of Mexico's independence and the 1947 indicates the year of mintage. The reverse side depicts an eagle with a snake in its mouth. |
